In October 1992, founder Cesar Oliveira opened his first store, Amazonia Forest Corp in little Kahuku. What started out as a humble retail shop on the North Shore quickly escalated a rental and surf lesson destination. After 8 years of paramount success, it was time to grow and move to the unexplored however more commercialized Waikiki. Very few surf shops at the time were offering lessons, rentals and retailing boards off of their shelves. It was time to expand to the digital frontier with ecommerce.

The birth of surf camps began.

“We’ve been doing surf camps for 4 years on the North Shore. We want to spread aloha to the people. Creating an environment when people surf, eat good food and get a positive outlook on life is our goal. We spread the aloha spirit through the surf experience.”
— Cesar Oliveira

This locally owned family oriented surf camp is not only about surf but about the north shore lifestyle. With intentions to give back to the community, Go Nuts Hawaii works with local instructors with expert and often professional experience to provide an enriching, educational experience of a lifetime. Kona Oliveira, Cesars son, is taking over the business.

Aloha! My name is Kona Oliveira and I was born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu. I am a professional surfer who has traveled the world surfing some of the best waves this planet has to offer. Growing up on the North Shore has made the ocean a very big part of my life. Ever since I could remember I was always in the ocean doing something. Whether it was fishing, diving, or surfing - it was almost impossible to get me out of the water. My parents started Go Nuts Hawaii over 30 years ago. The time has come for me to continue the family business and share the stoke and aloha of surfing with each and every one of you!
